This original Coffer shown above is from the workshops of the Master Carvers of the De Blois family was held in the Perrier Collection in Paris for many years and was then sold at auction for in excess of $143,000,000 (Auction price + Auctioneers commision). Lock Plate is not included in this price. The only difference between a chest and a coffer is that a chest was used to keep bed linen in and a coffer was used for money and valuables. You can also add your own Coat of Arms, Insignia or Initials to make the chest unique to you. Any of our coffers and chests can be adapted to accomodate a remote control rising TV cabinet as an extra cost option.
