  History and Detail
  Dating from 1640, the original design of this bed is one of which Oliver Cromwell slept in at his private residence and is still there today. You can also add your own Coat of Arms, Insignia or Initials to make the bed unique to you. (Soft furnishings are not included in the price).  
   
   
  Standard Dimensions  
  Headboard heigh - 5' or (1m52.5cm)
Footboard height - 3' or (91.5cm)
To fit a mattress - 4'6" wide x 6'6" long (Standard English double) or (1m 36cm wide x 1m 97.5cm long)

As the bed is made to order, any of the dimensions can be changed to your own specifications. We also make this bed to fit a standard 5' (king size), 6' (superking size) mattress and other special mattress sizes including American and European sizes.

 
     
  Height of Bed  
  You have two options when it comes to the height of the matress.  
 
  1. You can place a Divan base and matress straight inside the frame so that it sits on the floor.
  2. We can provide you with slats (as an extra cost option of £50), which lay across the two bottom rails. You can then put a matress straight on top of these.
