Carved Doors at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, England. The Queens representative Black rod hammers on the carved dividing doors between the House of Lords and House of Commons (both in the Palace of Westminster) to gain entry and call the members from the House of Commons to the House of Lords to listen to the Queens speech on future British government policy plans each year.
The carved doors show the high standard of carving available from the commissioned Master Woodcarvers.

Panelling: Well carved Linenfold panelling 4ft high line the walls of the members room at the House of Lords, in the palace of Westminster.

Panelling: A perfect well designed finishing of Linenfold oak panelling. The small carved pilaster sympathetically covers the joint between the panel edge. The carved stone fire surround, a 3inch carved fascia heads. The top of the panelling and fire surround edges with moulded dental carved cornice, the panelling is finished in a rich medium brown oak stain and polish.

Panelling: A wonderful designed panelled wall finish with painted arch panelling. A truly wonderful example of panelled room design, moulded cornice with plain fascia and carved top cornice, and fielded lower panels.
Pilasters: Reeded pilasters with classic Grecian capitals.
Carvings: The careful and thoughtful use of the carvings around the mirrors greatly enhance the appearance of the panelling. Similar carvings can be commissioned through the Guild from the Master Woodcarvers the guild represents.

Arch Panelling: A well designed arched oak room divider supporting a minstrels gallery with carved balustrade. Fielded oak arch panelling with centre corbel bracket.
Panelling: 5ft high oak Tudor panelling with carved top cornice/ frieze.
Columns: The Guild can produce columns to any diameter or length required by the customer. The columns are hollow so that they can be used to hide steel or concrete support upright columns.
The Guild columns can be supplied in 1 piece or split into 2 sections, making it a simple matter to encase existing support columns.
